Weld Manufacturing Engineer

Weld Manufacturing Engineer Davenport, IA - Full Time Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Davenport, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers.

Duties:

Support operators as well and maintenance and other salary support staff. Trouble shooting MES systems, robot weld stations, manual weld stations as well as other automated equipment or processes. Continuous Improvement processes, SERA process, repair processes or process documentation updates. Responsibilities could expand into controls work or data science work as ability permits. Additional responsibilities will include project development, project documentation, and project implementation work as time permits.

Requirements:

Ability to work 3rd shift. Experience with manual and robotic welding systems. Fanuc Preferred. Experience with MES systems in a fabrication environment. Ability to support production through execution of new or existing processes. Ability to troubleshoot automated and manual processes. Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written. Ability to troubleshoot manual welding fixtures, automated welding fixtures, read manufacturing prints (GD&T). Ability to navigate ambiguous situations. Ability to work alone as well as in a group setting. Ability to follow up with communications, questions, or work tickets. Ability to document work. Ability to develop and document processes. Ability to use Microsoft products such as Excel and Outlook.
