$25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on applicable skillset and experience.

Operations Manager Lead Mechanic Purpose:

The Welder will utilize various welding techniques to weld and fabricate metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities :

Executes work in accordance with company safety policies and safe work procedures. Oxy ace cutting is required. Utilizes stick and MIG welding processes to weld milled steel. Utilize blueprints to fabricate needed materials/part/components. Preparation of material for welding by cutting or grinding, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or grinder. Set material in stands, racks, hoists, etc. for welding. Buffs and or grinds milled steel. Properly utilizes all hand tools and welding equipment to execute assignments. Executes vertical and horizontal welding tasks. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed. All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Experience:

Construction/Drilling 5 years Welding/Fabrication 3 years (Required) Auger and Kelly Bar Welding Experience (Preferred) Reading and Building Off of Shop Drawings 1 year (Required)

Skills & Abilities :

Capable of setup, layout and tack up of various metals. Ability to weld structures/components to spec. Ability to meet safety standards in appropriate rigging procedures. Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for project build process. Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors and co-workers. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment. Ability to learn and gain knowledge. Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Ability to work for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions. Ability to work as part of a crew and to follow work orders or receive instructions. Ability to focus on daily and weekly goals for the project. Ability to work in compliance with applicable OSHA and Company safety requirements.

Physical Requirements:

The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done. Walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, and normally involves physically getting into and out of equipment through the use of vertical mounted ladders up to and including 10' or more in height. Visually seeing equipment operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses). Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing or sitting for long periods of time. Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work. Climbing vertical ladders. Working at elevated heights. Lifting up to and including fifty (50) lb. objects as required. Carrying up to and including fifty (50) lb. objects as required. Adapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure. Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident. Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions. Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required.

Licenses or Certifications :

Valid driver's license with a clean

MVR OSHA 10

certification preferred

Education :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Travel :

Travel is required on an is needed basis.
