Welder

SUMMARY:

Welders must be able to read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and time frame for each project. Welders produce metal products according to our blueprints and drawings and must show experience in MIG welding and knowledge of the welding equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the usage of MIG welders, cutters, grinders, measuring tools, drills and Oxy-fuel torch cutting. Set up, operate machines and maintain a clean work area. Understand and implement personal and company safety measures by wearing proper PPE as well as demonstrate effective communication skills which are essential to work with team members. Must be comfortable operating an overhead crane as well as driving forklifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written). High school diploma or equivalent. Valid state issued driver's license. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to operate, or be trained to safely and efficiently operate a forklift. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Demonstrated history of safe job performance, positive attitude, teamwork and above average attendance record. Applicant must be self-motivated and disciplined
