Production Welder - First Shift Job Description This first-shift production welder role operates in a busy manufacturing environment that supports manufacturing. You will weld and fabricate structural/galvinzed steel and large equipment components used in the production. The position focuses heavily on MIG welding on steel, along with fitting and fabrication work, and offers on-the-job training with an experienced team. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel components for mixers, silos, tankers, trucks, and other concrete and asphalt equipment. Weld and fabricate structural steel and larger equipment, materials, and components according to production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld locations, angles, and fit-up for various products. Fit, align, and assemble metal parts and subassemblies prior to welding to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances. Work with galvanized steel when required, following proper techniques and safety practices. Perform grinding, fabricating, and fitting tasks as needed to support production and ensure high-quality finished products. Inspect welds and finished work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with a small team, typically in teams of two, to complete assigned projects efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Adapt to varying product types and production needs in a manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milroy, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.72 - $20.72/hr.
