Welder ATL Toyota Heavy Duty East Chicago, IN 46312 Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as a Welder Assistant Team Lead (ATL) !
The Role:
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Welder ATL who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you will assist in leading workers that will fabricate and repair metal, equipment, parts, and other materials by applying welding techniques in a safe and efficient manner, help with planning and scheduling, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. Welding aluminum and steel using MIG welder Operating equipment, including but not limited to: saws, drills, grinders/buffers, plasma cutters, MIG welder/torches, pallet jacks, arc, gouging, jib, and overhead cranes Measuring, cutting, assembling, and welding materials as required Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other documentation Assist supervisors in coordinating activities of manufacturing personnel Help maintain inventory, supplies, and tools Assist in department scheduling Keep work area clean and organized Ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed Recommend improvements to proceduresWhat We're Looking For:
2-3 years of welding experience Knowledge of how to use welding machinery, hand tools, and various shop tool Fast-paced individuals willing to cross-train and learn new skills Reliable with a strong work ethic Basic computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat Sets You Apart:
