Job description Lake Process Systems is a family-owned and operated small business working with some of the biggest names in the food and beverage industry providing exceptional customer service in process piping installations and custom stainless-steel fabrication for over 40 years.

JOB SUMMARY

Looking for a senior TIG welder that will weld, cut, and assembly various metal pieces together and repair damages in metal components using industrial welding equipment. The position is hands-on working with the customer primarily in the sanitary food industry servicing stainless piping, valves, tank vessels, CIP systems, filler systems, and much more. Looking at a qualified candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in TIG welding, seeking candidates with a dedication to the trade and willing to work with others to represent themselves to be the best in the business. Ideal candidate has prior experience with pipefitting in sanitary industry

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read blueprints and drawings, able to make simple drawings and take measurements
• Set up welder, make necessary adjustments and replace various attachments as needed
• Operate welder to repair parts and create custom fabrications. Work to be comfortable with various techniques in welding and alloys based on customer request
• Work with heavy and computerized machinery to create the components necessary for each project
• Manage shop workspace in order to balance customer orders between the main facility and their job sites. The employee will be expected to receive occasional shipments and maintain a clean and safe work environment wherever they may be
• Make daily reports to management on status of equipment, necessity of parts for production, progress on projects, time allocated to work and travel, purchases made on company credit, and visual inspections of customer worksites
• Will move equipment manually weighing up to 50 pounds, team lift additional weight
• Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner in both noisy and industrial environments
• Occasionally will be required to ascend/descent into working environments and position to perform service
• Perform other general construction tasks and workplace related tasks by instruction of managerial staff

EXPECTATIONS

• Our company shop is in Lake Barrington's commercial district. Employees will be expected to be able to reliably commute to our location daily or relocate upon employment
• reliable transportation is necessary
• Position will be heavily travel based often requires travel to different job sites primarily Chicagoland area, but may occasionally reach beyond for some deployments
• Working schedule is to be a full-time commitment based around a standard 8-hour shift
• However, there will be times when overtime, weekend, and even holiday work will be mandatory based on customer demand Thank you for taking the time to review this position and the opportunity to work with us
