Welder

Job Description Swiftemp is assisting a growing manufacturing company in the search for a Welder / Fabricator with 2-5 years of hands-on fabrication and welding experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing quality work. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, fitting and fabricating parts, and performing MIG welding on a variety of metal components. Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a production team.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm (overtime available until 4:30pm)

Pay:

$20 - $25per hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on steel and other materials as required Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to print specifications Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and hand tools Inspect finished welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy Perform layout and measuring activities using tape measures, squares, calipers, and gauges Maintain production standards while ensuring quality workmanship Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and issues Support continuous improvement and shop organization initiatives Qualifications 2-5 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment Strong MIG welding experience required Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and weld symbols Experience using standard fabrication and measuring tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Stable work history and dependable attendance Preferred Qualifications TIG welding experience is a plus AWS certifications preferred but not required Experience in sheet metal or structural fabrication environments preferred Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
