Chart's Welder position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart's products in our Ball Ground, Georgia facility. Employees enjoy working a four 10-hour work week with overtime generally on Fridays, if needed. What Will You Do? Performs basic to moderate welding activities, including hand welding and material handling equipment, under general supervision Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position Determines type and gauge of steel to be welded making appropriate adjustments, as required, on large thickness variations Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product Updates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilities Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment Maintains a clean work area and general housekeeping standards, such as care for assigned tools and proper disposal of hazardous waste Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures, including utilization of chemical solutions to clean containers Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements May be required to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
