Job Description

Job Summary 1st shift 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m 2nd shift is 4:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. We are seeking a skilled and energetic MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) techniques across various projects. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and precision of metal assemblies, piping, ductwork, and sheet metal components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and manufacturing environments, applying your mechanical knowledge and welding skills to bring innovative projects to life. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be vital in maintaining safety standards and delivering exceptional craftsmanship. Responsibilities Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and quality standards Perform welding on sheet metal, pipe systems, ductwork, and structural steel in accordance with ASME codes & standards Conduct fabrication tasks including plasma cutting, pressing with press brake machines, and assembly of welded parts Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and mechanical safety procedures Collaborate with team members on site for effective rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on welding operations in manufacturing or industrial settings Extensive knowledge of MIG welding techniques; familiarity with TIG welding is a plus Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Hands-on experience with power tools such as plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, and hand tools for fabrication purposes Mechanical aptitude with understanding of schematics, basic math skills for measurements and calculations Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices in construction or manufacturing environments Experience working with ductwork, piping systems, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes Join us if you're passionate about precision welding and eager to contribute your skills in a fast-paced construction or manufacturing environment.
