As a Production Welder/Fabricator with Monosem, you: Will perform weld operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork. Will be working performing welding activities to include fabrication, repair products, parts, etc. according to work orders. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following: Weld parts and sub-assemblies to specification using various welding processes Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with site / OSHA Standards. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes safety glasses, ear plugs, metatarsal safety shoes, Purified Air Powered Respirator (PAPR), portable fume extractor, and other protective equipment as required by work area Fabrication of new parts, rework or modification of parts, drilling, grinding, torch, etc. Responsible for organization of weld shop parts, equipment, and consumables. Responsible for regularly inspecting all weld shop equipment utilized in job functions to ensure safe operation and communicating any needed repairs or replacement. Help to restock parts from vendors and unload steel. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards Monitor, communicate and train employees on quality issues. Help to maintain 5S, work to close out SEAMS audit findings and report progress. Work with Production Manager to identify near miss or injury root cause. Practice good business logic, ask questions for clarification. Primary job duties will be MIG welding but must be flexible and willing to help in other departments/areas of the facility when needed. The ability to communicate situations that may affect the production schedule performance. (Ex•Material/Consumable shortages, personnel issues, equipment breakdowns etc.) Other Assist in training seasonal employees and provide follow-up on progress. Must be available to work seasonal overtime. Strong ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills Ability to work on multiple projects at once Ability to work independently, and in a team environment. Must be physically able to lift 35 pounds occasionally. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Must have of the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) Minimum 2 years' experience in weld fabrication Must have a weld certification (or equivalent) OR at least 6 months' experience of welding in a manufacturing environment Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift•with or without reasonable accommodation, including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, speaking, hearing, and performing of repetitive actions Ability to read and understand weld drawings Must be able to use and read welding measuring devices Must be able to pass drug screen, background check, and respirator medical evaluation Forklift Experience Preferred Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills General mechanical ability, able to operate drill press, saw, torch or plasma Working Conditions Production hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:00am•3:30pm Working conditions are normal for a welding environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, dust, temperature changes and usually moderate noise level Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 8 hours per dayPay:
