Welding & Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Bin Maintenance Tech II to support the repair, refurbishment, and upkeep of our steel donation bins, clothes carts, and warehouse-related equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, welding equipment, painting, and general mechanical repairs while helping keep operations running safely and efficiently. What you'll do: Repair and refurbish steel donation bins and receiving carts Perform sanding, grinding, painting, labeling, and decal application on collection bins Use welding equipment and general mechanical tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks Retrieve donation bins requiring refurbishment and ensure they are fully emptied before repairs Load and unload bins from trucks using a forklift Assist with maintenance involving wood, metal, and polymer materials Support warehouse operations including cleaning, sweeping, and organization Operate the bin scale system during truck unloading Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Assist with additional warehouse and operational duties as needed Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous welding experience required Experience in facilities maintenance or property management strongly preferred Forklift experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push up to 300 lbs. throughout the workday Frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and operate equipment Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse and maintenance environment Planet Aid's mission is to inform, mobilize, and inspire individuals and communities to work together to bring about worldwide environmental and social progress.
