We are looking for a Wellness Supervisor who is passionate about geriatric care and ready to lead a team in maintaining the safety and well-being of our residents. The Role As the Wellness Supervisor, you will act as a vital link between our residents, their families, and our care staff. Reporting directly to the Resident Care Director, you will provide clinical oversight, assist with service care plans, and supervise our frontline resident care team. This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will monitor emerging health needs, assist with on-call duties, and ensure our community maintains the highest standards of infection control and resident safety.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight:
Assist in assessing resident needs and developing/revising service care plans to reflect changes in health status.
Team Leadership:
Directly supervise resident care staff, providing mentorship and ensuring compliance with community standards and infection control protocols.
Resident Advocacy:
Evaluate medical concerns, contact physicians or emergency personnel when indicated, and follow up on family inquiries with professional empathy.
Direct Care:
Participate in staff training and provide direct resident care or emergency support as needed to ensure seamless staffing coverage.
Compliance:
Maintain mandated documentation and assist with medication administration (topical, oral, etc.) in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
Qualification Standards Experience:
Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a geriatric setting (hospital or community health experience preferred).
Education:
High school diploma required; Medication Administration Trainer status is a plus.
Skills:
Strong communication skills in English (written and oral) and a deep understanding of the psychosocial changes associated with aging.
Credentials:
A current Driver's License is required. CPR certification and Diabetic Training are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods as needed to support resident care. Why Heritage Senior Living?
