Westview Jr/Sr High School Dean of Students 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 1635 S 600 W, Topeka, IN 46571 Full-time Westview School Corporation 20 reviews Full-time Westview School Corporation is seeking a student-centered, collaborative, and highly organized educational leader to serve as Dean of Students for Westview Jr./Sr. High School. This position will support student attendance, discipline, school climate, student services coordination, and overall student success for grades 7-12. This is a 195-day administrative support position. Qualifications Valid Indiana Administrative License preferred OR actively working toward completion of administrative licensure Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills Experience working with secondary students preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, and community agencies Primary Responsibilities Attendance Oversight Monitor and support student attendance for grades 7-12 Coordinate attendance communication, meetings, and interventions Stay current on Indiana attendance laws and handbook expectations Student Threat Assessment / Student Support Serve on the student threat assessment team Assist with student safety plans, re-entry meetings, and follow-up support Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and support staff regarding student concerns Student Services / 504 Coordination Assist with special education case conferences when needed Oversee and support implementation of 504 plans Alternative Education Oversight Monitor student progress within the E-Warrior / Alternative School program Meet with students and families regarding expectations and progress Ensure program requirements and contracts are followed Student Discipline Assist principals with student discipline and investigations Communicate with students and parents regarding disciplinary matters Graduation Planning Oversee completion of required 7th grade graduation plans Collaborate with guidance staff regarding student planning and progress Communicate with families regarding graduation plan requirements School Climate and Supervision Support a positive school culture and student leadership Reinforce school-wide expectations and student safety Assist with supervision of hallways, cafeteria, extracurricular activities, athletic events, dances, and school programs Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by building principals Application Information Interested applicants should submit: Letter of interest Resume Credentials/licensure information References
