Job Description

Summary of Functions Responsible for providing beverage service to guests by taking orders, delivering drinks, and ensuring a high-quality guest experience in alignment with Kalispel Hospitality standards. Maintains safe alcohol service practices, supports guest engagement, and promotes a welcoming and professional environment throughout all beverage service areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complies with Kalispel Tribe Internal Controls and Casino Policies and Procedures. Provides prompt and accurate beverage service to guests in assigned areas. Maintains knowledge of alcoholic beverages, garnishes, and menu offerings. Uses POS system to enter orders, process payments, and complete transactions accurately. Ensures responsible alcohol service in accordance with MAST and regulatory guidelines. Verifies guest identification and refuses service when required by law or policy. Identifies and reports intoxicated guests per established procedures. Builds positive guest relationships through professional, friendly, and personalized service. Maintains awareness of guest preferences and delivers consistent hospitality experiences. Communicates effectively with bartenders, supervisors, and team members. Clears glassware and maintains cleanliness of guest areas throughout shift. Completes assigned side work and maintains stocked, clean, and organized work areas. Stays informed on property promotions, events, and amenities. Responds to guest requests and issues promptly and professionally. Maintains accurate tip reporting and end-of-shift paperwork. Works efficiently to reduce wait times and maintain service flow. Attends required trainings and meetings. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. May be required to participate in internal review hearings. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities None Experience Preferred:
Previous serving experience in food and beverage or hospitality environment Minimum 1 year customer service experience preferred Experience standing/walking for extended periods preferred Skills & Abilities Strong customer service and guest engagement skills Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer tools Knowledge of alcohol service standards preferred Ability to handle cash and provide accurate change Strong communication skills (verbal and interpersonal) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Education High school diploma or GED preferred Other Requirements Must be 21 years of age Must obtain and maintain Tribal Work Permit Must obtain WA State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of hire Must maintain MAST Alcohol Server Certification Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Must be able to comply with drug testing and background check requirements Physical Demands Regular standing and walking for long periods Frequent repetitive hand/wrist/finger movements Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds regularly Occasional bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, or reaching Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity Requires clear vision (near, far, color, and depth perception) Ability to operate POS systems and related equipment Work Environment Frequently exposed to casino environment including tobacco smoke and moderate noise Occasional exposure to moving equipment and temperature variations Fast-paced hospitality environment requiring constant guest interaction Must maintain professionalism in busy and high-volume service areas Hiring Preference The Kalispel Tribe of Indians is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
