Job Description

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which distribute over 15 billion gallons annually to approximately 11,000 Sunoco and partner-branded retail locations, as well as independent dealers and commercial customers. Summary:
Schedule and dispatch transporters for pickup and delivery of fuel products. Duties include using telephone and computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Negotiate freight with 100 common carriers' fleets across the US and work with sales and supply to schedule >30 loads of fuel per day Monitor personnel, equipment, and locations to direct delivered loads on schedule. Schedule or dispatch drivers to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs. Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories. Relay work orders, messages, or information to or from drivers, supervisors, or terminals, using telephones or email. Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, or requests for pickup and delivery. Prepare daily work and run schedules. Record and maintain files or records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information. Receive or prepare work orders. Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required, according to work orders or specifications. Advise personnel about traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards. Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules. Ensure timely and efficient movement of product, according to product orders and schedules. Order supplies or equipment and issue them to personnel.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):
Required Experience:
0-2 years of experience industry or similar industry
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office. Working knowledge of instant messaging (ICE) and GeoTab a plus
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Office environment:
moderate and adjustable temperature and light; well ventilated; adequate space; ergonomic office furniture and up-to-date equipment Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. May need to work occasional overtime or weekend hours as business dictates.
