Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Wholesale Planning Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will partner closely with the Wholesale Sales team to drive revenue growth, optimize inventory, and enhance profitability across key wholesale accounts. You will lead merchandise planning, financial forecasting, and in-season inventory management while delivering actionable insights that support smart, agile business decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly forecast and budget process in partnership with the Sales team, aligning financial targets with merchandise strategies by account Develop and manage seasonal merchandise plans to support sales and gross margin goals across wholesale partners Own open-to-buy (OTB) planning, identifying risks and opportunities while recommending strategies to optimize inventory levels Oversee in-season inventory flow, leveraging available-to-sell (ATS) inventory to maximize sales, improve inventory turns, and minimize overstock Create and maintain weekly performance reports tracking sales, inventory levels, and retail performance by style, color, and classification Conduct hindsight analyses and apply findings to improve future planning, forecasting, and assortment strategies Monitor account-level performance and recommend actions to address aging or excess inventory Partner with the Sales team to prepare for market appointments by providing account recaps, historical selling analysis, and financial overviews Review and refine market buys, recommending ATS inventory usage to support updated forecasts and improve efficiency Present performance summaries, forecasts, and inventory strategies to leadership and stakeholders Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure operational alignment and execution Build and maintain planning tools, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting to support evolving business needs and improve decision-making Qualifications 5+ years of experience in planning, merchandising, or inventory management within wholesale apparel, fashion, or retail environments Strong expertise in open-to-buy management, seasonal planning, and account-level forecasting Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP or wholesale planning platforms such as NuORDER, JOOR, or Full Circle is a plus Deep understanding of retail math and key performance indicators including sell-through, stock-to-sales ratio, margin, and inventory turns Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present to stakeholders Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
