Job Description
Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking a Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist (Certifying Health Professional) to work with our Athens County WIC team. •We are seeking a Certifying Health Professional to join our team serving Athens County or Perry County based on applicants residence. This position may conduct WIC services in clinic, virtually, or community settings. Registered dietitians are experts in food and nutrition. As a Certifying Health Professional you will provide assessment and counseling to WIC participants in the areas of nutrition and diet, as well as certifying and recertifying potential and actual WIC participants. Other roles included, but to a lesser degree, is appointment scheduling, actual food benefit issuance, and follow up appointments with high risk participants. •The above depicts only some of the job responsibilities, full job description is available upon request or at time of interview• What do we require from our Registered Dietitian, Certifying Health Professional? Eligible to work in the United States Registered, Licensed Dietitian; Registered Nurse (RN), Dietetic Technician, Dietetic Technician Registered in the State of Ohio or four year nutrition/dietetics graduation (Nutrition Associate). Experience in nutrition education including breastfeeding.
