Responsible for testing and inspecting materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable specifications, quality criteria, and company standards. Role and Responsibilities Complete dimensional inspections of parts per procedures. Accurately complete and maintain any required documentation. Interact with team members to communicate part requirements. Support production on issues concerning the quality of the product. Work with Quality Engineers/Quality Manager on the development and maintenance of standard work instructions Address internal and external quality issues, including root cause analysis using an approved analytic process. Support the manufacturing floor in identifying and correcting ongoing quality problems through data analysis Coordinate response to customer complaints, including segregation of suspect product to ensure a clean point Perform capability studies and assist with Gage R & R studies as needed, and assist with recommendations on improving the capability of production tools and gages. Interface with customers, engineering, and program managers (as applicable) in discussions regarding quality issues relative to print and specifications capability. Review blueprints/specifications to establish manufacturing/gauging feasibility, including QA inspection planning, special gauging, and associated documentation. Provide recommendations to product and process engineers in determining if statistical control exists, if the process is capable, and assist with studies to establish the proposed quality and reliability expectancy of the finished product. Provide technical support in evaluating and analyzing data during the process of product qualification Participate in continuous improvement activity (parts and processes). Observe all safety requirements and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition. As required - Operate CMM equipment to perform measurement and inspection of materials, components, and products
Pay Range:
