  • Part-time Job Overview Join our dynamic winery team as a Wine Educator in the Tasting Room, where your passion for wine and exceptional customer service will create memorable experiences for visitors.
In this lively role, you will guide guests through tastings, share your knowledge of wines and food pairings, and foster a welcoming atmosphere that highlights our winery's unique offerings. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire guests to deepen their appreciation for wine while ensuring they enjoy every moment of their visit. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love of wine with engaging hospitality skills in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct engaging wine tastings, educating guests on varietals, production methods, and tasting notes to enhance their experience Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and creating a friendly, approachable atmosphere Upsell wine bottles, Wine Club Memberships, and related products through knowledgeable suggestions that align with guest preferences Manage POS transactions using Square Restaurants POS accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including handling food safety protocols and food handling procedures, opening and closing duties Support event setups as needed to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction Experience Previous experience in restaurant service, food industry settings or wine related setting is desirable but not required Proven skills in sales, upselling, and customer service within a hospitality environment Experience in serving or catering roles that involve food handling and food safety compliance will be advantageous Strong communication skills combined with a friendly demeanor to connect with diverse guests is highly desirable Qualifications Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 lbs. (approximately the weight of a full case of wine) on a regular basis Must be available on weekends to work year round Must to capable of remaining on your feet for prolonged periods of time This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about wine and hospitality who thrive on creating memorable guest experiences.
