Job Description

St. Martin Cabinetry is looking to interview a candidate to work in our Woodshop department. The ideal candidate has 2+ years experience in woodworking, cabinet building with knowledge and experience using woodworking tools and safe shop practices. Job Overview As a member of the production team at St. Martin America you will be responsible for assembling and finishing luxury cabinetry. We are known for "affordable luxury" and high-quality specifications. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on precision and consistent quality.
Core Responsibilities Precision Joining :
Assemble solid maple drawer boxes using dovetail joinery and attach soft-close, full-extension hardware.
Finishing & Sanding :
Hand-sand wood components and participate in a 14-to-16-step finishing process, which may include applying stains, paints, or catalyzed conversion topcoats.
Hardware Installation :
Install hinges, door handles, and specialized components such as leveling feet and stainless steel shelf clips.
Quality Control :
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the company's "uncompromising furniture finish" standards and architectural specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Ability :
Experience with woodworking tools and machinery (case clamps, sanders, planers). Attention to
Detail :
Ability to maintain high quality in a high-volume "quantity-focused" production line.
Physical Strength :
Ability to stand for entire shifts and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), including plywood sheets and assembled cabinet units.
Product Knowledge :
Familiarity with various wood species such as Rift White Oak, Walnut, Cherry, and Maple.
Work Ethic :
Reliability and the ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
