Job Description

Purpose of Position :
Trumbull Industries is seeking a full-time employee in our distribution center. As a work order expeditor, the primary role is to ensure timely execution, accuracy, tracking, reporting and communications for the entire workflow processes, both in plant and out of plant. An expeditor will become highly proficient with the firm's systems ERP capabilities to provide answers to the customer service division related to the initiation, execution, and delivery of the production work orders process.
Accountabilities :
Log and track issues with any of the work order processing steps. Assisting Shipping dept. to ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner. Run open work reports and review order logs to ensure proper production flow. Verify production paperwork is properly positioned with vendors. Communicate with our vendors concerning priorities and updates with work orders. Engage and escalate issues to IT staff for quick resolution. Provide Support for day to day work order related processes. Assist the customer service division with lead times. Execute Special projects as requested.
Qualifications :
Distribution and Production work experience preferred. Basic understanding of distribution and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with business processes including Inventory management/Work Orders is preferred. Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment. Experience with integrated ERP Business Process software in a distribution environment. PC proficient in the Microsoft product suite. Experienced in RF picking environment. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills with a strong sense of urgency and an understanding of and commitment to meeting deadlines/ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks Positive attitude, strong work ethic, hands on oriented.
