Workday Financials Developer

Responsibilities 5 + years of experience with strong Knowledge of Workday Financials, Revenue Management, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Customer account, and Banking. Hands-on experience with Workday report creation (simple, advanced, custom, and matrix reports) and experience utilizing calculated fields using different business objects. Understanding of Workday Customer Contracts, Invoices, Billing schedules, Revenue Recognition Schedules, and Financial Management. Experience with Workday bi-annual feature releases and working with Workday Support/Ask an Expert. Review release notes and Workday roadmap items to determine what is beneficial, and advise on best practices and new features to leverage. Working knowledge of JIRA and Jira query language. Hands-on experience building complex inbound and outbound integrations, with strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, web services (SOAP/REST), and WSDL. Experience handling EIB vs Studio use cases (knowing when to use which), along with debugging and error-handling in Studio. Experience with Kainos test automation and regression testing of existing functionality, ensuring there are no SLA impacts. Expertise in Workday Security, including assigning user- and role-based security groups.

Required:

Understanding of Workday contracts, invoicing, billing schedules, revenue recognition schedules, and financial management. Ability to review bi-annual Workday release notes/roadmap items and advise on best practices and new functionality (via Workday Support and Ask an Expert). Working knowledge of JIRA and Jira query language. Hands-on integration experience (XML, XSLT, SOAP/REST, WSDL), including Studio debugging/error handling and correct use of EIB vs Studio. Kainos test automation and regression testing experience with SLA awareness. Expertise in Workday Security and assigning user- and role-based security groups. Ability to work from the Rockville or Tysons office per FINRA guidelines (currently 3x/week).
