Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Workover Derrickhand, a vital role in the oil and gas industry dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of workover rigs. You will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment used during well interventions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on oil rigs, gain hands-on experience with mechanical systems, and contribute to the successful completion of pipeline and well servicing projects. Your expertise will help keep operations running smoothly while adhering to strict safety standards. Responsibilities Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of derricks, hoisting equipment, and other heavy machinery on oil rigs. Support the rig crew in performing well workovers, including tubing replacements, perforations, and other remedial operations. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently on well sites. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems and ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations. Manage rigging operations for lifting heavy components and ensure proper handling of pipeline materials. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Follow all safety protocols during construction site activities and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications Prior experience working on oil rigs or construction sites involving heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge related to oil & gas extraction equipment, and pipeline systems. Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, forklifts, and tankers confidently. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site safety procedures. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating tanker trucks or other large vehicles. Experience with rigging techniques and equipment used in oilfield operations. Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities. Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
