Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized Workshop Manager to oversee daily workshop operations while supporting team coordination, equipment management, and technical troubleshooting efforts. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient shop workflow, managing inventory and facility organization, supporting repairs and diagnostics on construction equipment and GPS/specialized attachments, and ensuring all documentation and safety compliance standards are consistently maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable collaborating across multiple teams in a fast-paced operational environment. 1. Operation, management & Team Leadership Lead, supervise, and mentor workshop technicians and staff Plan and manage workshop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity Conduct performance evaluations and provide training opportunities for team members 2. Facility, Equipment & Inventory Management Oversee the maintenance and organization of workshop facilities and equipment. Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability and proper condition. Coordinate repairs, upgrades, modification or replacements of workshop machinery and equipment. Manage all POL's, chemicals and hazardous materials/waste in compliance with all State, Local and Federal regulations. 3. Coordination & Communication Collaborate with all team members to coordinate work schedules, including installation, updates, site support, and project priorities Collaborate with technicians and other team members to resolve site or product problems promptly Serve as a point of contact for other teams regarding workshop operations and technical support Prepare and submit reports on workshop performance, issues, and improvements 4 Troubleshooting & Repair Supervise and guide technicians in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment including GPS and special attachments Monitor and support installation, setup, and calibration of GPS devices and special attachments Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex or critical equipment issues Conduct inspections to verify repair quality and adherence to best practices 5. Documentation & Reporting Document and report routine workshop activities and all issues on a regular basi Maintain records of repair activities, equipment issues, and maintenance actions. 6. Safety & Compliance Ensure all repair work meets safety, regulatory, environmental, and company standards. Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy machinery workshop management and operations, including supervising and leading a team of technicians Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and site collaboration. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Experience with heavy equipment modification or customization Proven experience installing, supporting, and calibrating GPS machine control systems and special attachments on heavy machinery Proficiency with workshop management software or inventory systems
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy machinery workshop management and operations, including supervising and leading a team of technicians Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and site collaboration. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Experience with heavy equipment modification or customization
