Job Overview:

Worship Leader/Pastor The Worship Leader is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and oversight to the worship ministry of Trace Church. This role includes leading Sunday services, developing and discipling worship team members, and ensuring excellence in the musical, technical, and spiritual aspects of corporate worship. The Worship Leader will collaborate with Creative Arts leadership, musicians, and production teams to lead services that engage the congregation and support the mission of the church. Core Responsibilities Leadership Provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the worship ministry and its team members. Recruit, audition, train, and equip vocalists, musicians, and worship leaders. Develop and disciple worship team members in their spiritual and musical growth. Lead through team dynamics and conflict with wisdom, humility, and biblical integrity. Build a healthy, unified culture marked by grace, excellence, and servant-hearted teamwork. Align the worship ministry with the overall vision, mission, and theological beliefs of Trace Church. Collaborate with pastoral and creative teams to plan services that support the church's teaching series and mission. Worship Lead worship for all weekend services and special events. Provide strong vocal leadership with the ability to engage a congregation of 3,000+. Create authentic, Spirit-led worship experiences that draw people into the presence of God. Arrange and design worship sets that flow seamlessly and support the message theme. Stay current with worship trends while remaining sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Encourage and model a lifestyle of worship both on and off stage. Music & Production Develop vocalists in harmony, blend, and excellence. Direct and oversee instrumentalists with proficiency on at least one primary instrument. Utilize Ableton Live for tracks, arrangements, and production elements. Partner with lighting, sound, and media teams to align worship elements with visuals and stage design. Ensure musical and technical excellence in all worship gatherings. Evaluate and continually improve the quality of the worship experience. General Staff Expectations Attend annual team retreats and informal team gatherings for relational health. Live out and champion Trace's Cultural Distinctives. Participate in a Small Group and actively tithe to Trace Church. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to lead worship in a large church context. Strong vocal ability and proven worship-leading presence. Proficient instrumentalist capable of leading and directing a full band. Technical proficiency in Ableton Live and Logic Pro. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proven ability to recruit, develop, and manage volunteer teams. Ability to lead through conflict and foster unity within the ministry. Personal alignment with the vision, mission, and theological beliefs of Trace Church. Evidence of a mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Music, Worship, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in worship leadership in a church of 1,000+ attendance preferred.
