Wound Care Nurse

Meadowbrook Care Center is seeking a full-time wound care RN. As part of the Wound Care Team, the wound care nurse participates in assessing and evaluating the clinical needs of resident with wounds, and works with the resident and the rest of the care team in planning and implementing care that addresses the needs.

Responsibilities:

Identify, manage, and treat specific skin conditions, such as pressure injuries; diabetic, venous, or arterial ulcers; and traumatic or complicated wounds Provide wound care on assigned residents, in accordance with physician orders and appropriate techniques Complete a thorough and accurate wound assessment upon notification of wound Complete follow-up assessments weekly and as needed; document all assessments in the medical record Confer with the care plan team in the development of the comprehensive care plan Document resident care problems, abnormal findings, and changes in resident's condition. Report to physician, supervisor, and resident/representative Monitor implementation of preventive measures such as turning/positioning, pressure relief devices, nutrition/hydration measures, and toileting/incontinence care

Active applicable state licensure Wound Care Certified Infection control Organizational and Multitasking skills Listening and verbal communication skills Patient Safety focus American Heart Association issued BLS We look forward to hearing from you!

Pay:

$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
