X-Ray Technician PRN

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various imaging techniques, including X-ray and potentially other modalities such as sonography and mammography. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, including emergency medicine settings. Responsibilities Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Operate radiographic equipment efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures performed. Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss imaging results and assist in patient diagnosis. Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment. Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards related to radiation safety. Qualifications Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program. Proficiency in diagnostic radiology techniques, X-rays Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Experience in an healthcare room or emergency medicine setting is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff effectively. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
