In this vital role, you will operate advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images that assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Duties Operate a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, PET scanners, mammography units, DEXA scanners, and ultrasound devices to capture detailed images for clinical assessment Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort while maintaining aseptic technique standards Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to perform diagnostic evaluations that support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures performed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and medical regulations Ensure all imaging equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to identify abnormalities and assist in diagnostic radiology assessments Qualifications At least 1 year of X-ray tech experience.
