Yacht Salesperson

Licensed Yacht Salesperson — Shelter Island Brokerage, Freedom Boat Club Pipeline H&H Marine Service Center needs a salesperson for our office on Shelter Island and we're hiring a licensed Yacht Salesperson to run a desk. This is a 1099 independent-contractor seat for a producer who wants warm leads, a real platform, and a fair split — no base, no ceiling.

• 50/50 commission split on brokerage deals — straightforward, no sliding scale games
• New-boat sales rights — sell from our dealer inventory with a margin-based comp plan
• Freedom Boat Club membership sales at standard FBC sales commission
• Affiliated full-service yard for fast surveys, pre-listing prep, and post-sale service What you'll do
• List, market, and close pre-owned vessels on consignment under our licensed brokerage
• Sell new boats from H&H dealer inventory on a margin-share basis
• Convert qualified prospects into Freedom Boat Club memberships when ownership isn't the right fit
• Run sea trials, coordinate surveys and escrow, and shepherd deals to close
• Maintain compliant deal files per the California Yacht and Ship Brokers Act Required
• Active California DBW Yacht & Ship Salesperson license at time of hire (non-negotiable — no 90-day grace)
• 2+ years marine sales
• Working knowledge of boats and SoCal cruising
• Comfortable with CRM, YachtWorld back-office, DocuSign, and Yacht Closer
• Clean DMV and ability to pass background check
• 1099 contractor status — you'll handle your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses Nice to have

• Bilingual English/Spanish Compensation snapshot (1099, no base)
• Brokerage commissions: 50/50 of the H&H side
• New-boat sales: margin-based share on every dealer unit

• Weekly draws against earned commissions on closed-and-funded deals

Position Summary H&H Marine Service Center is hiring a licensed Yacht Salesperson as a 1099 independent contractor to operate out of our new Shelter Island brokerage office in San Diego. The Salesperson will list and sell pre-owned vessels on consignment, sell new boats from H&H's dealer inventory on a margin-share basis, and convert non-buyers into Freedom Boat Club members for additional referral income. This is a 100% commission, no-base, no-draw seat. The right candidate is already licensed, already knows the market, and is looking for a platform that hands them inventory, leads, listing tools, and a fair split — not a paycheck. The role is structured under our California-licensed Yacht and Ship Broker and complies with the California Yacht and Ship Brokers Act (Harbors & Navigation Code §§700-740) and Title 14, Article 8 of the California Code of Regulations.

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
