Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Yard Laborer and become a vital part of our operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of materials within our yard. Your hands-on approach and attention to detailwill ensure smooth logistics flow, helping us meet customer demands and maintain a well-organized work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in heavy equipment operation and warehouse management while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere. Duties Load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to safety standards. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are correctly documented and stored. Use forklift and heavy equipment to move large or bulky items safely within the yard. Maintain a clean, organized yard by stacking pallets, managing materials handling tasks, and ensuring clear pathways. Support supervisors with inventory counts, order picking, and yard audits. Perform seasonal landscape and snow removal duties Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment Assist field staff with yard assembly of docks and boat lifts Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction environments. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, skidsteers, excavators, and load & unload machinery safely. Mechanical knowledge related to general equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking. Experience with materials handling tools and construction-related equipment is a plus. Previous yard, warehouse, or marine management experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities.
