YARD OPERATER

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Yard Operator and become a vital part of our logistics and materials handling operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, loading, and unloading of goods within our yard area. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, warehouse management systems, and safety protocols will ensure smooth operations and maintain a safe, organized environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery and contribute to the seamless flow of materials in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as skip loader, forklifts, etc. unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving processes by accurately picking orders, loading and unloading trucks, and verifying shipments using warehouse management systems. Conduct materials handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and precise order picking to fulfill customer orders promptly. Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations, performing routine equipment inspections, and ensuring proper use of mechanical tools. Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to organize yard space, direct traffic flow of trucks and equipment, and optimize storage layouts. Assist with construction-related tasks or yard maintenance as needed to keep the workspace clean, safe, and operationally efficient. Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with a strong understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving processes. Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as skip loaders, forklifts , pallet jacks, and other yard equipment. Prior work in construction or materials handling roles is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load & unload activities. Experience supervising or coordinating yard operations is a plus but not required; a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency is essential.
