Hours:

4 Weekdays (7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and Saturday (7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) We are seeking a dependable, hands-on team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both outdoor work and customer interaction. As a Yard & Rental Associate , you will play a key role in maintaining our equipment yard, preparing rental inventory, and delivering exceptional customer experience. This hybrid position blends mechanical aptitude with customer service skills. You'll be responsible for loading and inspecting equipment, performing basic repairs and maintenance, and ensuring all rental inventory is ready for customer use. During busy periods, you'll also support front counter operations—assisting customers, processing rental transactions, and utilizing our rental system to ensure smooth and efficient service. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable switching between physical yard work and customer-facing responsibilities. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and service excellence are essential.

Responsibilities:

Load and receive equipment in a timely and safe manner and complete necessary paperwork Inspect machine condition upon arrival and notify appropriate personnel of any damages Keep yard in a clean and organized condition Prep equipment for delivery to customers, including attachments and modifications Ensure equipment is rent-ready, including inspections, PM services, and repairs Complete all necessary documentation for repairs (Parts Orders, Labor, etc.) Assist walk-in customers with equipment demonstrations and product information Represent the company in a positive and professional manner Assist customers at the rental counter, including answering questions, processing transactions, and coordinating equipment rentals Utilize the rental system to create contracts, check equipment availability, and update reservations Accurately enter customer and rental data into company systems Maintain professionalism and deliver a high-quality customer experience at all times Collaborate with yard and sales teams to ensure smooth rental flow and equipment availability Support front counter operations during peak periods as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 1-3 years of yard work & basic mechanical/technical repair experience required Weekend and overtime availability required (this position works 4 10-hour shifts per week plus Saturdays) Clean & valid driver's license required Ability to multi-task and be highly organized & competent in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Proficient in computer applications and ability to learn rental software systems Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) Previous customer-facing, retail, or counter experience a plus Bilingual English / Spanish a plus

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking Lifting (up to 60lbs.) Carrying (up to 50lbs.) Push/pull (up to 80lbs.) Sitting, rotation and forward bending (sitting and standing) Hand coordination and reaching Grip (30lbs. with both hands, 80lbs. with preferred/single hand) Foot pedal operation Crawling, low work (kneeling), and awkward positioning Outdoor work (as required)

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
