Yard Truck Driver/ Loader

Labor Services Company, a family-owned transportation company that has been in operation for over fifty (50) years, is currently hiring Yard truck drivers out of Joshua , TX ! Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Yard Truck Driver/Spotter to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate yard trucks and spotter equipment to efficiently move trailers and freight within the yard, ensuring smooth loading, unloading, and route driving operations. Your energetic approach will help maintain safety, productivity, and excellent service standards across our logistics operations. Monday through Friday, 7AM to 4PM, some weekends Rate of pay $25.00 per hour Paid Weekly Full benefits available after 90 days (health, dental, vision, disability, life and more!) 401K Voluntary insurance (disability, life, pet and more!) Responsibilities Safely operate yard trucks with manual transmissions to move trailers within the yard area. Spot and position trailers for loading and unloading using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks. Assist with load & unload activities for various freight types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dry freight. Conduct pre-trip inspections of yard trucks and spotter equipment to ensure safety and compliance. Coordinate with warehouse personnel and drivers to optimize trailer placement and route driving efficiency. Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, load status, and yard activities. Follow all safety protocols related to truck driving, freight handling, and yard operations. Experience Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, preferably involving tractor-trailers or yard operations. Experience handling different types of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is a plus. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Prior experience with forklift operation or roll-off trucks is advantageous.
