The Youth Activities Worker provides supervision and leadership for children in after-school and/or summer programs. This role supports program goals by ensuring a safe, engaging, and structured environment. Additional duties may be assigned to meet program and departmental needs. This position reflects PCI's core values of Perseverance, Opportunity, Accountability, Respect, Culture, and Honesty .Key Responsibilities:
Ensure safety and well-being of all participants Supervise and engage youth in daily activities (indoor/outdoor) Maintain a positive, structured environment using behavior management strategies Build strong relationships with youth, families, and staff Assist with planning activities and maintaining records Monitor for safety concerns and report issues as needed Follow program policies and communicate concerns to supervisorsCore Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required or must be a currently enrolled high school student or be enrolled in a GED program. Must have six (6) months of full-time employment experience working with young children. Must possess certification of "Mandatory Reporter Training" or obtain certification during the first week of employment. Must possess and maintain First Aid/CPR certification or obtain within ninety (90) days of employment. Must be eighteen (18) years old or older. Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed. Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check. Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events. Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.Essential Competencies:
