Up to 20 hrs/week 50 weeks/year First Christian Church of Wadsworth, (Disciples of Christ), is a theologically diverse, multigenerational family of believers with core values of Christian faith, compassion and community where welcoming ALL people to the Lord's Table is a central focus of Sunday worship. We celebrate tradition while also seeking innovation in worship as we strive for excellence in the glorification of, and service to, our Lord in an ever-changing world. The Director of Youth Ministries at FCC offers an opportunity to foster a community of belonging for ALL youth, including LBGTQ+ teens, and to equip them for full participation and leadership in the life of the church. FCC-Wadsworth Ohio is seeking a creative, dynamic person to serve as a Youth Director. This person would work with students in grades 6-12 providing youth programming. Core competencies identified by the search team include: interpersonal skills (building strong relationships with youth, parents, staff, and congregation members), communication skills, and organization skills. The person must be a solid role model for Christian living and skilled at working as a member of the church staff team. They must possess a strong desire for helping young people grow in their faith. The position is part time.

Requirements:

Valid drivers license and the ability to travel for overnight stays including 2 weeks as a summer camp counselor.
