POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Center Director helps organize, implement, and high-quality youth programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives. Keeps participants safe by providing an environment that follows the rules. 2. Attends staff meetings and training to learn, grow, and develop within the BTW and the YMCA. 3. Works with other employees to provide excellent member experience. 4. Behaves in a way that reflects the core values of the Great Miami Valley YMCA and utilizes those core values to teach the sport participants. 5. Effectively communicates with parents before, during, and after youth program activities. 6. Communicates any issues from programs to Center Director. 7. Participates and assists with the Annual Support Campaign. 8. Can effectively tell Y story to communicate and promote the Y within their community and social circle. 9. Dependable and reliable to meet the needs and duties assigned by the Center Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 15. Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Abuse Prevention, CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens and New staff Orientation. Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications. Reliable transportation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
