In this energetic role, you will operate specialized ice-resurfacing equipment to maintain optimal ice conditions, ensuring the rink is always ready for action. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will help deliver a top-tier experience for all rink users while contributing to the safety and efficiency of our facility. Responsibilities Operate Zamboni or similar ice-resurfacing machines with precision and care to ensure high-quality ice surfaces. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on resurfacing equipment, including checking fluid levels, belts, blades, and safety features. Follow established safety protocols during operation to protect yourself, staff, and visitors. Adhere to scheduled resurfacing times that minimize disruption to games or public skating sessions. Assist with other heavy equipment operation related to facility maintenance, such as edgers and other ice maintenance equipment. Maintain cleanliness of all facility locker rooms. Support the overall cleanliness and safety of the rink environment by adhering to operational standards. Experience Zamboni expereince and knowledge is preferred but will train the right candidate. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification is desirable but not required. Hands-on experience with ice resurfacing or Zamboni driving is highly desirable. Prior work in industrial environments or ice arenas that require adherence to safety standards is beneficial.
