The Chief John Alfred Tahquette Education Scholarship is offered to undergraduate and graduate students who are members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Students seeking a postsecondary degree at a school located more than 250 miles away from Cherokee, North Carolina, are welcome to apply.

American Indian with Cherokee ancestry
