Overview
- The J. Pat Cummings Scholarship is awarded to second or third-year optometric students at the North American Schools and colleges of optometry. Students who are members of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), and participate in community service and extracurricular activities are encouraged to apply.

- Member of American Academy of Optometry
- Resident of the U.S.
- Second or third-year optometric student
- Seeking a degree in optometry
- Studying optometry
- Attending the North American Schools and colleges of optometry
- Participation in community service or extracurricular activities
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement
