Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Spanish Teacher Pentucket Regional School District Job Description __________________________________________________________________ The Pentucket Regional School District is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our World Languages Department. The successful candidate will foster a love of language learning while promoting cultural awareness and global citizenship. This position involves delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to students in accordance with district and state curriculum frameworks.
Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Educatio, or a related field. Fluent in Spanish and English. Massachusetts DESE License in Spanish (5-12 or appropriate level). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to culturally responsive teaching practices. Experience teaching in a public school setting is preferred. Knowledge and capacity on organizing and providing professional development and as a curriculum developer. Excellent communication skills. Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.) and fingerprint check.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, reading, writing, and cultural awareness. Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress. Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and active participation. Integrate technology and interactive resources to enhance language acquisition. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance. Encourage students to participate in Spanish-related extracurricular activities, clubs, or events. Reports to: Building Principal

The physical and environmental demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work in a normal classroom and school building environment. Ability to move freely about the building to perform duties with students and teachers. Ability to utilize computers and other administrative technologies appropriate to the position.
