Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
The ability to establish positive relationships with co-workers and parents and students. Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communications skills Must be able to handle emotionally charged situations. Has the ability to train other people to apply behavior management techniques effectively.EDUCATION
High School Diploma or G.E.D required- College degree preferred.EXPERIENCE
Experience working with children with disabilities preferred. Licenses/Certification Certification as a Teacher Assistant or RBT certification preferredLANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to employees' questions. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must have the ability to transfer individuals independently, with a mechanical lift or with the assistance of another staff person. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Requirements include:
