In this role, you will specialize in the installation, diagnosis, and repair of 12-volt electrical systems within vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional customer service by providing reliable electrical solutions for a variety of vehicle makes and models. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive technology while honing your skills in electrical systems, diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair 12-volt electrical components including lighting, alarms, audio systems, and auxiliary devices. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and technical manuals to identify root causes efficiently. Perform system upgrades and modifications such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) integration and vehicle wiring enhancements. Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly and meet safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete installations and repairs accurately. Collaborate with team members on complex repairs involving powertrain electronics, transmissions, or diesel engines when necessary. Maintain detailed service records, update auto estimating software, and communicate findings clearly to customers. Experience Prior automotive experience or extensive background in automotive electrical repair is highly preferred. Proven experience working with automotive schematics and electrical diagnostics tools. Knowledge of ADAS systems, vehicle wiring diagrams, and modern automotive electrical systems. Mechanical knowledge including vehicle maintenance, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Hands-on experience with auto estimating software and customer service skills for effective communication. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory. Service technician experience demonstrating the ability to perform automotive repair efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
