Up to 70-80% About the Role We are seeking a Process Engineer
  • Sealant & Adhesive Automation to design, implement, and support advanced robotic sealant and adhesive application solutions for customers.
This role partners closely with customers, sales, and engineering teams to evaluate processes, support proposals, execute projects, and ensure successful system launches. The ideal candidate is a hands?on, customer?focused engineer with experience in sealant or paint processes, robotic automation, and FANUC robotics. What You'll Do Evaluate customer processes and perform feasibility studies to support project quotes Design and implement robotic sealant and adhesive application processes Execute process engineering responsibilities following project award Develop and run customer demonstrations; analyze and present results Create offline simulations of automation systems using FANUC tools Serve as the primary technical contact during system startups and launches Support training and mentoring of junior engineers Collaborate on new technology and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in process engineering or industrial automation Experience with sealant and adhesive application systems and fluid delivery equipment Experience with industrial machine vision systems (e.g., FANUC iRVision, Liberty Reach, Matrox) Hands?on experience with FANUC robots (M?710, M?20 series preferred) Familiarity with FANUC RoboGuide software (HandlingPRO, PaintPRO) Knowledge of industrial safety systems (e.g., DCS) Strong communication, organization, and problem?solving skills Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a technical field 5+ years of experience in sealant and adhesive automation Experience with FANUC ISD and IPS dispensers FANUC robot programming experience Experience launching robotic systems at customer sites Multilingual capabilities Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in manufacturing and industrial environments Ability to stand and walk for long periods on concrete and steel grating Exposure to industrial chemicals including PVC sealants and 2?component adhesives Ability to travel extensively (up to 80%) Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet critical deadlines
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement robot processes. Install, launch, and optimize the programs at customer sites. Develop robot programs offline using Roboguide software. Perform process system verification testing. Use offline simulation tools for system design or advanced programming. Conduct laboratory testing to determine optimal application settings. Provide troubleshooting and support to existing installations. Perform analysis and feasibility studies for customer quotations. Provide support and field troubleshooting for process or equipment problems. Optimize equipment integration. Ensure optimal installation and configuration. Verify and ensure equipment performance. Recommend equipment improvements to enhance performance and reduce cost. Support customer demos or system validations. Coordinate with team members and project management during system installation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, or Automation.
Experience:
2 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience with dispensing delivery/control equipment preferred but not required. Interpersonal skills, especially with customers. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Knowledge of vision systems preferred (FANUC Vision, Liberty Reach, Matrox). Must be process knowledgeable. Solid PC skills; familiar with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and ability to use CAD tools. Excellent organizational skills. Problem solving skills. Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines. Available for domestic and international assignments; passport required for international projects.
