1st Shift Welder & Fabricator, Coopersville MI Weekly Pay $21-26/hour Start ASAP Job Description Join our team as a 1st Shift Welder/Fabricator, where you can customize your work schedule and contribute to the fabrication of custom conveyors for various manufacturing companies. This role primarily involves MIG welding, and candidates must be adept at interpreting blueprints to achieve high-quality, custom fabrication work. Responsibilities Verify weldments are within specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes. Move parts into position either manually or with a hoist or crane. Position, align, fit, and weld parts following blueprints and layout specifications. Set up and operate fabricating machines such as handheld plasma cutters, grinders, drill presses, and iron workers. Lay out and examine weldments to ensure specifications are met. Position or tighten braces, clamps, or bolt straps to secure parts for welding. De-burr, prep, and tag parts and weldments for the next process. Essential Skills At least 2 years of custom MIG welding experience. At least 2 years of fabricating and welding from blueprints. Ability to use a tape measure, calipers, and gauges to ensure quality and specifications are correct. Valid driver's license. Willingness to be trained and use a hi-lo. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with using handheld plasma cutters, grinders, drill presses, and iron workers.
