1st/2nd Shift Structural Steel Fitter

Steel Shop Structural Fitter Job description: Superior Iron Works, Inc. is a growing AISC certified miscellaneous metals/ structural steel fabricator and erector in the

DC, VA & MD

areas. We are currently looking for Fitters to help with assembling components for production.

Primary duties include:

Measuring, laying out, aligning, and fitting fabricated metal work according to blueprints. Preparing steel for welding using grinder, etc. Welding in accordance with the blueprints and specifications Finishing metal work (clean slag, splatter, or excess weld)

Qualities:

At least 1 year of experience in Structural Steel Fitting / Fabrication Read and interpret blueprints First Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday-Friday. Second Shift 2.30 PM - 11.00 PM Monday - Friday. On both cases, depending on the workload, some Saturdays as well.

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
