Ranch PDX is looking for our next super star Shift Lead to help guide and develop the teams at our Happy Valley and Oregon City locations! This unique opportunity will allow you to work alongside our Store Manager in a multi-unit structure. Moving between the two locations, you ll support the Store Manager in daily restaurant operations by guiding team members, ensuring high quality service and food execution, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and guest focused environment. This role works across all hourly positions, serving as a point of support for the shift, helping resolve issues, and ensuring that Ranch standards are upheld. The Lead exemplifies the tone for service excellence, supports training, and helps keep operations running smoothly at the direction of the Store Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support daily FOH and BOH operations, assisting with guest service, line work, prep, and general workflow wherever needed. Deliver consistent, high-quality food and service in alignment with Ranch PDX standards. Monitor guest experience and respond promptly to concerns or service needs. Follow all food prep, cooking, storage, portioning, and presentation standards. Maintain clean and organized work areas in both FOH and BOH, including equipment, prep areas, dining spaces, and service stations. Assist with opening and closing duties following established checklists. Manage and troubleshoot basic POS, online ordering platforms, and service-related equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service and efficient restaurant operations. Ensure all food is prepared, held, and stored at safe temperatures and meets established freshness and quality standards. Follow all Ranch PDX and Health Department sanitation requirements. Maintain awareness of product quality, rotation, waste, and overall food handling best practices. Model Ranch PDX principles and foster a collaborative, positive work environment. Support team members during service and help resolve shift-level operational issues. Facilitate training and onboarding of new employees as directed by the Store Manager. Promote adherence to policy, procedure, and operational standards across FOH and BOH. Write, place, and communicate orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels. Track waste and adjust pars as needed; communicate discrepancies or trends to supervisors. Assist in product rotation, stock organization, and preparation for service periods. Assist in implementing Ranch PDX policies and procedures throughout daily operations. Support consistency in workflow, service standards, and kitchen execution. Help uphold company expectations around communication, teamwork, and overall guest experience. Perform and complete additional duties as assigned. Tools and equipment used:
Commercial electric meat/cheese slicer, electric mixer, pizza ovens, electronic panel timers, knives, dishwashing machine, various office equipment - POS, laptop, printer, monitor.
Endurance:
Regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs. Walk and stand for 8hrs outside required rest periods.
