Yesterday Job Description Anderson School District Three is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs in the 2026-2027 school year at Starr Elementary School. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and staff to provide individualized support, helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a structured and nurturing environment. Essential Duties:

• Assist in implementing student supports and accommodations as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under the guidance of the certified teacher.
• Assist with small group instruction and individualized support to reinforce learning concepts.
• Develop a working understanding of each assigned student's IEP to effectively support their academic, behavioral, and functional goals.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and arrival/dismissal times.
• Assist students with basic needs, including hygiene, organization, and daily routines.
• Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning centers as directed by the teacher.
• Communicates with parents/legal guardians regarding the academic performance of the students.
• Observe and document student behavior and progress, sharing relevant information with the teacher.
• Support classroom management by reinforcing expectations and promoting positive behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and a welcoming school environment.
• Performs requirements as established by state and federal laws and requirements established by the Board of Trustees.
• Fulfills professional responsibilities beyond the classroom.
• Participates in professional development programs.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• Two Year Associates Degree or
• 60 Hours of College Coursework or
• Paraprofessional Assessment Test
