POSITION SUMMARY
Centennial Elementary School is seeking a creative, collaborative, and student-centered teacher to lead an engaging exploratory program for elementary students in grades K-5. This position focuses on providing enriching experiences in areas such as visual arts, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), movement, dance, creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning opportunities that support the whole child. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment while helping students build creativity, problem-solving skills, collaboration, confidence, and curiosity through interactive learning experiences aligned with the District's SOARR values: Safe, Optimistic, Accountable, Respectful, and Responsible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver engaging exploratory lessons for students in grades K-5 in areas such as visual arts, STEAM activities, movement, dance, creativity, innovation, and hands-on collaborative learning experiences. Create a positive classroom culture that promotes creativity, student engagement, and responsible behavior. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and abilities. Integrate social-emotional learning, collaboration, and problem-solving skills into instruction. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology tools, and project-based learning experiences. Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to support schoolwide goals and student success. Maintain organized classroom routines, materials, and safety procedures. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families. Participate in staff meetings, professional learning opportunities, and school events. Support and uphold District policies, procedures, and

expectations. Supervise students in various school settings as assigned. Serve as a mandatory reporter and comply with all reporting requirements and responsibilities pursuant to Oregon law and District policy. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Valid Oregon Teaching License or ability to obtain licensure through the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC). Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills. Ability to create engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Elementary teaching endorsement preferred. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Knowledge of arts integration, STEAM instruction, movement/dance, or project-based learning preferred. Experience integrating technology and hands-on learning opportunities. Passion for creativity, innovation, and experiential learning. Ability to inspire student curiosity and engagement. Flexible, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset. Commitment to building positive relationships with students and families.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Terms and conditions of employment shall be established by the District in accordance with applicable law, Board policy, and collective bargaining agreements.
