Primary Purpose:
Assist the building principal in the improvement of student achievement through a working knowledge of innovative, educational practices to include integrated curriculum, an in-depth knowledge of all foundation areas and differentiated instruction to support learners at all levels.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree Preferred or a minimum of five years of classroom experience
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability as a presenter/facilitator Demonstrated knowledge of district curriculum and focused instructional strategies Demonstrated respect and rapport with all educational stakeholders (peers, parents, students, administration, etc.)
Experience:
Proven experience establishing and implementing improvement plans (i.e. analyzing data, setting goals, developing strategies and actions, evaluating results/impact on student performance)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Leadership 1. Leads staff by maintaining high standards of professional conduct. 2. Leads the campus Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team to focus on student achievement and growth. 3. Assists the campus administration in leading the staff to commit to the accomplishment of goals and objectives to increase student performance. 4. Acts as an effective communication link between campus administration, team leaders, teachers, and district support personnel. 5. Collaborates with other campus MTSS Facilitators to provide specific leadership within the district in the areas of teaching, learning, assessment, and instructional coaching. 6. Communicates thoroughly and effectively the information and knowledge gained through the regular MTSS Facilitator meetings. Campus Support 7. Serves as a support to the principal in his/her role of instructional leader on the campus. 8. Maintains a current and deep understanding of district curriculum and assists the principal as he/she ensures the implementation of district curriculum. 9. Supports and models instruction in classrooms to assist teachers in providing a high quality instructional program. 10. Assists the principal and district learning coaches in identifying professional learning needs to support improvement in all aspects of curriculum. 11. Facilitates and provides early diagnosis, early intervention, and early treatment for students who demonstrate low achievement. 12. Serve as a resource during campus grade-level or content team plannings and MTSS meetings. 13. Collaborates with teachers and designated paraprofessionals to design, inform, and adjust instruction to promote improvement in all content areas. 14. Supports teachers in the interpretation and disaggregation of data in order to adapt instruction to meet the needs of students. 15. Identifies and monitors at-risk students on the campus and assists teachers with accommodations for at-risk students. 16. Assists with scheduling and implementation of universal screeners. 17. Serve as Campus Testing Assistant to support the Campus Testing Coordinator. 18. Participate as a member of the campus instructional leadership team, as requested by campus principal. 19. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.

Provide direct supervision for paraprofessionals as assigned.

Posture:
Frequent sitting and standing, occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion:
Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
Lifting:
Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds), occasional physical restraint of students to control behavior.
Environment:
May work prolonged or irregular hours, work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather), exposure to noise, occasional districtwide and statewide travel.

Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
