Job Description

Arlington Central School District has a 0.6 FTE Anticipated Part-time position available for the 2026-2027 school year for a High School Theatre Arts Teacher at Arlington High School. Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: Teaching Courses in the following: Introduction to Drama Skills taught: Ensemble building, foundational performance skills, rehearsal and performance of a one-act play Theater Production Skills taught: Intermediate acting, directing, scenery, costumes, lighting, sound, stage management, rehearsal and performance of a full-length play and a series of 10-minute plays or short scenes Actors Studio Skills taught: Advanced acting, study of classic and contemporary plays Additional opportunities could be available for the following: Direct the Admiral Players, the official drama club at Arlington High School Direct 2 of the school's drama/musical productions
Salary:

Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of NYS Certification of Theatre and/or English Language Arts with a strong theatre background Candidates that are certified in Theatre with dual certification in either English Language Arts or Music Education are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience with High School Theatre Arts Education with strong stage play/musical theater directing
